St Julian
Church of St. Julian. This twelfth century construction was built on the site of the previously existing coenoby founded by the holy anchorite from Syria, St. Isaac. It then became an important Benedictine abbey. It stands on the hill by the same name along the road leading up to Monteluco. On the inside the church has a nave and two aisles divided by squat columns and preserves in its apse interesting fifteenth century frescoes. The façade has a fine portal, early Christian sculptured elements and a three light mullioned window with bow-shaped arches above.
