Former church of Saint John and Paul
In the side street by the same name (between via Minervio and via Filetteria) there is a simple Romanesque building of the twelfth century. On the outside above the dise door there is a thirteenth century fresco depicting Our Lady with Saints. On the inside there are interesting frescoes datable between 1200 and 1400. Amongst these Alberto Sotio painted one of the very first representations of the martyrdom of the Archbishop of Canterbury, Saint Thomas Becket. There is also one of the first iconographic documents of Saint Francis.
